It was really nice to reminisce her first day and who would have thought that the first girl she met in the university that day would become her bestfriend.
"Here, you could have this. I have a spare," she smiled and like Hannah, she was obviously shy.
"Thanks. I'll return it later," Hannah smiled back.
Hannah could still remember that the first time they talked was in Botany Lab class wherein she still had no friends yet. She thought her name was Chase but she was mistaken but it was close enough because Rose did look like her.
Hannah went back to reality and looked on that page and flipped it to the next and onto the next until she flipped more than a week's entries and found something she could smile to again.

Thursday
Dear Diary,
It was very hot today. The sun was up and was cooking us to death. Our botany lecture class was dismissed early because the prof had to go to the meeting and so we wandered off and then we split up, not just physically but the group of friends I like to think would stick until longer than a week just split up into two groups.
But maybe I'm just being disappointed that we split up this afternoon and went to different places to hang out but with their comments- the two girls with me who I haven't even memorized their names or even their nicknames- I was taken aback. They didn't like the other girls so much. And so there I was again, being safe and all. I just nodded and acted for support about their "used adjectives" to describe the other girls. I don't want to be an outcast, I was with them so I must act that way. I'm being plastic again but anyway, I didn't know any of them that much so maybe me acting this way is acceptable as far as now. I want to stay as is and be this blind for a while until I can hang onto them and find who will eventually be a true friend to me.
What a day!
- Claire"

'Now that wasn't a nice thing to reminisce but in spite of that, I remembered being with my best friend since then till now. She was the only one who after all those years stood by me. Maybe becuase we were so much alike' Hannah thought.
It was a nice feeling for Hannah that she had a group of friends to consider as companions but when she remembered what happened that day, she was disappointed. She was then split into two and she wondered how hard it was for her to choose because she didn't really know yet where she belonged that second week of college life.
